LEARNING DIRECTOR OF SCIENCE: Harrogate High School

ABOUT OUR SCHOOL

Harrogate High School is a school on the rise, with growing student numbers and a vibrant school community.  Rebuilt in 2017, enjoying brand new school buildings and excellent learning environments, the school is now oversubscribed and has become the first choice for local families.

With around 750 students, the school is large enough to provide a broad and balanced education, whilst small enough to give individual attention and care to students, with an emphasis on personalised learning.

For staff, too, the school is the perfect size for everyone to know each other and become part of the Harrogate High School team.  It is the ideal launchpad for ambitious teachers looking to develop their experience and careers as leaders.

Students come to Year 7 from a number of local primary schools – with as much as half of the school intake coming from primary schools also in the Northern Star Academies Trust, of which Harrogate High School is a founding member.

Harrogate High School is a school at the heart of its community, working closely with students and their families to provide an inclusive approach to learning.

It is a school that has achieved a great deal already, with the potential to become a truly great school as it embarks on the next stage of its journey to provide excellent education for all learners.
